Sitges is the most rewarding short drive from Barcelona. Forty kilometres south along the C-31 coastal road — through the Garraf limestone cliffs, above the Mediterranean — and you arrive at one of Catalonia's most beautiful seafront towns. Do it in a Ferrari or Lamborghini and the drive to Sitges becomes an experience in itself, not just a means of getting there. At Ultra Lux Ride, we deliver supercar hire directly to your Barcelona hotel for the Sitges route and beyond.
The Drive: Barcelona to Sitges in a Supercar
The Coastal Road (C-31) — The Route Everyone Should Do Once
Leave central Barcelona heading south on the Ronda Litoral and join the C-31 at Castelldefels. For the first 15 km the road runs along the beach — flat, wide, straightforward. Then the Garraf massif begins. The tarmac narrows and rises into the cliffs, the Mediterranean appears 150 metres below, and the road begins to twist. This section — approximately 10 km between Garraf village and Sitges — is what the drive is for.
The hairpins are tight but well-maintained. On one side: sheer limestone cliff. On the other: the sea. In a Lamborghini Huracán with the exhaust in Sport mode, the sound echoes off the rock in a way that is completely different to anything you'll hear on a public road elsewhere in Catalonia. In a Ferrari F8 Tributo, the active aerodynamics adjust 50 times per second as the road changes direction. Either way, the 40-minute drive from central Barcelona ends in Sitges feeling like it was much shorter.
Distance and Timing
- Barcelona city centre → Sitges via C-31: 43 km — approx. 45–55 minutes including the Garraf section
- Return via AP-7 motorway: 40 km — approx. 25 minutes
- Round trip total: approximately 85 km
- Recommended departure time: 9:00–10:00 AM (light traffic, best light for the coastal section)
Best Supercars for the Sitges Route
Rental policy
The Garraf section of the C-31 is made for the Huracán EVO. The V10's naturally aspirated character means the sound changes completely between 3,000 and 7,500 rpm — and with rock walls on one side and a cliff on the other, every gear change is amplified. The all-wheel drive gives you confidence in the tighter hairpins. This is the most popular car for the Sitges route.
Rental policy
More precise than the Lamborghini, slightly more demanding to drive at the limit. In the hairpins above Sitges, the F8's mid-engine balance is immediately apparent — it rotates with a precision that rear-engine and all-wheel drive cars can't match. For experienced drivers who want to feel more of what the road is doing, this is the better choice.
Rental policy
Roof down, 830 hp, Garraf cliffs. The 296 GTS in open-top mode on the coastal road to Sitges is the most complete version of the experience available. The electric motor fills in any hesitation at low speeds in the hairpins; the combustion engine takes over at higher revs with the full Ferrari soundtrack.

What to Do in Sitges
Sitges earns its reputation. The old town, built on a rocky promontory above the beach, has narrow streets, whitewashed buildings, and some of the best seafood restaurants on the Catalan coast. Park at the Aparcament Rieres (signposted on entry to the town) — the centre is pedestrianised and the car parks are well-equipped for sports cars in terms of clearance.
For lunch: El Celler de Martínez and El Cable are consistently excellent — both are beachfront, both have views that match the drive to get there. Allow two to three hours in Sitges before returning to Barcelona.
Combining Sitges with Other Routes
Sitges + Montserrat — Full Day (180 km)
Morning: Montserrat via C-55 (mountain hairpins, altitude, panoramic views). Afternoon: return to Barcelona via Martorell, then south on the C-31 coastal road to Sitges for a late lunch before driving back on the motorway. Two completely different driving environments in one day.
Sitges + Penedès Wine Country — Half Day (100 km)
From Sitges, take the C-15 inland to Vilafranca del Penedès — 20 km through the vineyard-covered hills of the Penedès wine region. Return to Barcelona via the AP-7. Adds variety to the return journey and passes through genuinely beautiful countryside.

FAQ — Supercar Hire Sitges
Can I drive from Barcelona to Sitges and back in a few hours?
Yes — the round trip is approximately 85 km and takes around two to three hours including a brief stop in Sitges. Most clients combine it with lunch in Sitges and return in the mid-afternoon, for a total of four to five hours with the car.
Is the coastal road suitable for low-slung sports cars?
Yes. The C-31 coastal road is a well-maintained public road — not a track and not a rough mountain pass. Our Ferraris and Lamborghinis navigate it without any issue. The main thing to be aware of is the speed limit (60 km/h on the hairpin sections) and occasional gravel from cliff erosion on the corners.
Can I park a supercar in Sitges?
Yes. The Aparcament Rieres at the entrance to the old town has adequate clearance for all our vehicles. Avoid parking on the main beachfront in high season — the turnaround areas are tight and busy. Our team can advise on parking specifics when you collect the car.
